WOMEN IN THE ARTS dinner - held December 6th, 2009 at the Gaslight Brasserie in Boston
I am so proud and excited to announce the first annual W.i.t.A dinner held in December.
Spector Photography has started a group of women in the arts. We plan to meet twice a year to share, talk, grow, inspire, learn, teach, motivate and create. We started with 9 people (my goal was 4 so I think we did well!). The night was fun. Everyone had a chance to talk a bit about themselves, what they do and how they got started. We also shared concerns about where we’re going with our art and what dreams, goals and hopes we have for the future.
It really was inspirational to hear everyone's stories. We had photographers, painters, dancers, filmmakers, videographers, poets and writers. I hope to make our group a fund raising organization in the years to come but for now keep a look out for our website and/or facebook page.
