Fall Portraits on the North Shore are Stunning this year!!

Oh my gosh we are having so much fun with our fall sessions and mini sessions this year. It seemed like the leaves were just so late to turn and lots of rain but the kids (and parents too) have been amazing and we've capture some really wonderful moments!!

Family Fall Portraits - Sunday at the beach

Families always ask me about beach sessions and I always tell them to do it early or late in the season. July and Aug on the beach (at least my beach here on the North Shore) is always packed with people making it hard to work around them. Also, with the sun setting so late that means we start the session around 7pm which is a tad late for little ones' like these.  Today we were able to start at 5 and had the beach pretty much to ourselves... it's a great way to end the summer.. the kids get that last blast of sun and sand and water and every one feels like, just for a minute, summer could go on forever (wouldn't that be wonderful!).

Family Portraits - watching a family grow

Well, I have had my head down in baby (and Boudoir - www.embrace-studios.com) for what seems like the longest winter ever. Even though we didn't get much snow everyone wants to stay in doors. I was thrilled today to meet up with one of my favorite families.  I have been working with these kiddos since before the youngest was born. I can't tell you how great it is to see them each year. I get to hear about Star Wars Lego space ships and see amazing art created over the year. I get to hear about soccer and baseball and summer vacations. They are old friends by now and I wouldn't miss a season with them for anything.  I think that's what being a family portrait photographer is all about.. it may start with a newborn in the studio and some really adorable images but my favorite part is when it grows into a friendship and all along the way together we are capturing the family at each stage.
priceless!

Family Portraits THE WHOLE GANG

Too much fun today. Another one of my Rue La La families - Laura decided it was time for the whole family, and I mean whole family, to get a portrait. 15 people made there way from all over MA (and RI!!) to meet up in Beverly for the morning. I can't even begin to tell you how nice, well behaved, friendly and fun this bunch were. The kids were AWESOME! we had.. let's see...
3 beautiful sisters, their families which included 6 kids and the grandparents too. It was hot and their drive was long but there were all so good natured. But what I loved most about spending the morning with Laura and her family was seeing how much they all loved each other and how close a family they are. It made me miss my sisters and their families who are so far away. I'm lucky to see them (at the same time) once a year. Seeing the Harrison family clan get on so well and have so much fun made my day. Thanks you guys!!!
