Horizons For Homeless Children Gala
What a weekend! There were so many things I could talk about from this very busy weekend. I decided to show off just one picture from last night. The annual HORIZONS FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN'S
Gala. It was held at the MFA and was spectacular! This is my 3rd year covering this event. I can't believe I've been volunteering for Horizons for that long. It never fails to humble me and make me so very appreciative of how fortunate I am and how lucky my daughter is to have the things she does.
I'm not talking about toys and clothes and ice-cream. I'm talking about security and peace of mind and support. So many children in our community lack these basic things. They don't have a home to call their own ... no place to keep their blanket or favorite toy so they know it will be safe.
Horizons is a remarkable group that works tirelessly to raise money to support these kids and their parents. It is amazing the amount of work, energy and dedication these folks have. I encourage anyone who is looking to make a difference in a child's life to get in touch with Horizons and see what you can do to help!
