Now, I don't know if you've ever been to this fair but (if you get there early) it's really great! They have amusement rides for young kids and older kids that are in different areas so the little ones can run around in a smaller (safer ride) environment. They have animal rides: ponies, elephants and camels. They have amazing vegetable and flower shows. Face painting .. tons and tons of food and live animals to pet and watch being judged. But best of all is the Poultry Barn. I LOVE CHICKENS - hens, roosters.. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL. No, I'm not crazy! (and yes, I did sneak a goose in there).

I first discovered these amazing creatures a few years ago when Teagan's Nanny Seed (Grandma to you and me) gave her an Extra ordinary Chicken Calendar. Teagan LOVED it and we spent hours pouring over the pictures.. I've been hooked since. Okay so these images are exactly like the ones in the book... but at least I have something to aspire to!
